My family has been in the trades and building materials business for decades. Roofing. Flooring. Laminate manufacturing. I grew up watching owner-operators run their businesses from their trucks, answering calls mid-job, losing customers to whoever answered faster.
The problem was never that they weren't good at their craft. It was that a ringing phone at 9pm — when they were finally off the job — was the difference between a booked appointment and a competitor's win. And they had no way to fix it without hiring someone.
Before building Azarix, I spent years building AI systems and products. I understand how large language models work, how voice pipelines fail under real-world conditions, and what it takes to build something that actually sounds like a person and handles the edge cases a real customer throws at it.
I built Azarix specifically for the Canadian market — bilingual English and French, PIPEDA and CASL compliant, designed around the call patterns and urgency signals that matter in trades work. Not a generic AI chatbot with a phone number attached to it.

Our primary research — 74,761 Google reviews across 2,936 Canadian trades businesses — shows that 33% of inbound service calls go unanswered. For HVAC and plumbing alone, that translates to roughly $15,000 CAD per year in missed revenue per business, most of it from after-hours emergency calls that go to voicemail.
US tools don't solve this. They're not bilingual. They don't understand Canadian privacy law. They don't know the difference between a furnace emergency in January and a routine maintenance call. And they weren't built by someone who watched this problem cost real businesses real money.
